How to keep your Fruit At Work fruit fresh
Here are some key strategies to ensure your office fruit box stays vibrant and tasty:

-
Just like at home, avoid storing fruits in direct sunlight or near heat sources like a coffee maker. Aim for a cool, well-ventilated area in your office or breakout area.
-
Berries, grapes and stone fruits like peaches and nectarines (once ripe) will last longer when stored in the crisper drawer of your office fridge.
-
Fruits like bananas, apples, pears, and citrus (mandarins and oranges) do best at room temperature.
-
Some fruits, like apples and bananas, release ethylene gas which speeds up ripening in other fruits. Keep these separate from the rest, or store them in the fridge to slow down the process.
-
Hold off on washing your fruit until just before you enjoy it. Moisture can accelerate spoilage.
